Review by Erman Geçer

Sweet Exorcist's Testone Remixes is an impressive collection of tracks that showcase the duo's talent for crafting innovative and compelling electronic music. With a focus on remixing the iconic Testone track, the album features a range of experimental and genre-bending takes on the original, each one offering a unique perspective on the source material.

From the driving techno rhythms of Surgeon's remix to the glitchy, atmospheric sounds of Richard H. Kirk's version, Testone Remixes is a diverse and engaging listen that will appeal to fans of electronic music across the board. The album's production is top-notch throughout, with each track featuring a rich and complex sound that rewards repeat listens.

What kind of house music would this be? I'm a fanatic at organizing my crates and I'm still getting exposed to new kinds of electronic music. Is this out if Chicago or Detroit?

I remember bringing this 12" and the CCEP EP along when I went to clubs in Ibiza in the 90s. The bouncers said FU with your demo records. Then I showed it was from the WARP label and they said it was a-OK. And they'd always played it. They were in pristine state. I almost never saw them again, afterwards. Lucky guys. I always had a steady supply of them as I lend them to friends and they never returned. RIP R.H. Kirk you were a major influence for me. Not only in his techno work but also with the industrial music of Cabaret Voltaire. 2X45 is going to remain on my turntables forever.
