Vance Joy's sophomore album, Nation of Two, is a delightful collection of 13 tracks that showcases the Australian singer-songwriter's growth as an artist. With his signature indie-folk sound, Vance Joy takes listeners on a journey of love, heartbreak, and self-reflection.
The album opens with "Call If You Need Me," a gentle acoustic ballad that sets the tone for the rest of the record. Vance Joy's voice is soft and soothing, drawing listeners in with every note. "Lay It On Me," the lead single, is a catchy tune with a catchy chorus that is sure to get stuck in your head.
Throughout the album, Vance Joy explores themes of love and relationships, as well as the struggles of being a musician. "We're Going Home" is a standout track, with its upbeat tempo and catchy melody. "One of These Days" is a slower, more introspective tune, with Vance Joy's voice taking on a somber tone.
