Marcela Alejandra Lucía Morelo (Lanús, December 13, 1969), better known as Marcela Morelo, is an Argentine singer-songwriter of Latin music that fuses Latin pop with various genres such as merengue, salsa and bolero.
Morelo began studying music at the age of 7 and learned to sing and accompany her singing on the guitar at the age of 9.1 His grandfather played the bandoneon and performed in a tango orchestra. Before dedicating himself to music, Morelo worked as a saleswoman in a clothing store and a cashier in a supermarket.
In 2014, Ella Morelo married musician and producer Rodolfo Lugo after a 17-year relationship, and the couple subsequently adopted three children.
In 1997, she released her debut album, Manantial, with a collection of songs she had written. Several singles released from the album, including "La fuerza del engaño" and "Corazón salvaje" were chart hits not only in Argentina but in Europe and Latin America. The album received a Gold Record after three months and eventually sold enough copies to receive a Platinum Record.
Morelo's other releases, including Eclipse (1999), Tu boca (2001), and Invisible (2003), were met with acclaim.
Morelo collaborated with Celia Cruz, Chichi Peralta, and Franco De Vita on a Christmas-themed song, "Fuerte Navidad." She recorded a duet with Miliki on her album "A mis niños de 30
