Arabic: أم كلثوم, born أم كلثوم إبراهيم البلتاجي Egyptian singer, songwriter, and actress, born December 30, 1898 in Tamay ez-Zahayra, died February 3, 1975 in Cairo. Umm Kulthum, an internationally famous Egyptian singer, songwriter, and film actress of the 1930s to the 1970s. She is known as Kawkab al-Sharq Star of the East, widely regarded as the greatest Arabic female singer in history. The entire catalogue of Umm Kulthum was acquired by Mazzika Group in 2003, and is considered to be the most valuable asset of the Arab culture.
