Review by Maulyda Pritha Kurnia Sari

Watershed Hoarse's self-titled album is a refreshing breath of fresh air in the indie rock scene. The Ohio-based band has managed to create a unique sound that is both dynamic and accessible. The album is filled with catchy guitar riffs, driving rhythms, and thoughtful lyrics that will keep listeners engaged from start to finish.

The opening track, "Gone," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its infectious melody and powerful vocals. The band continues to impress with tracks like "War," which showcases their ability to create intricate arrangements that still feel effortless. "The Lighthouse" is another standout track, with its haunting piano and emotional lyrics.

One of the strengths of Watershed Hoarse is their ability to seamlessly blend different genres and styles. "The Storm" is a perfect example of this, with its fusion of rock and electronic elements. The band also shows their softer side on tracks like "Waves," which features delicate acoustic guitar and introspective lyrics.

About Watershed Hoarse

Formed in Columbus, Ohio in 1987 as teenagers, signed to Epic Records in mid-90s, released the executive produced Twister in 1995. A lyric from the bands song "Black Concert T-Shirt" provides the title for Pulitzer Prize finalist Lee Martin's novel Break the Skin. The band also makes an appearance in the book itself. In 2012, released Hitless Wonder, a memoir about his years in Watershed. Although the band had largely faded from popularity, the book received national media attention.
