Wanted Funk is a compilation album by Various Artists that showcases some of the best funk music of the 70s and 80s. The album features tracks from legendary artists such as James Brown, Parliament, and Kool & The Gang, as well as lesser-known acts like The Fatback Band and The Bar-Kays.
The album kicks off with the funky and upbeat "Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)" by Parliament, which sets the tone for the rest of the record. The tracks that follow are equally groovy and will have listeners tapping their feet and nodding their heads along to the beat.
One standout track is "Super Freak" by Rick James, which has become a timeless classic thanks to its catchy chorus and infectious rhythm. Another highlight is "Jungle Boogie" by Kool & The Gang, which features a funky guitar riff and a driving bassline that will have listeners dancing along.
