The Soundcarriers - Celeste

Review by Ef Iqb

The album Celeste by Soundcarriers is a mesmerizing piece of music that captivates listeners with its ethereal sounds and dreamy melodies. The album is a beautiful blend of different genres, including psychedelic rock, jazz, and electronic music, which creates a unique and otherworldly atmosphere. The use of various instruments, such as the mellotron, saxophone, and flute, adds to the album's richness and depth. The vocals, which are often used as an instrument themselves, are hauntingly beautiful and work perfectly with the music. The album is a journey through the artist's imagination, and listeners will find themselves transported to another world. Celeste is a fantastic album that showcases Soundcarriers' impressive talent and creativity.

I've been buying records since the late '60s and The Soundcarriers' second album is one of the few in that timespan that has kept my attention all the way through. 'Last Broadcast' makes a cracking start to the album and the quality is pretty much maintained throughout - you think you've heard a great track and then they top it with the next one! Best band I've heard since the Red Guitars.
