Review by Jason Pott

Schizophrenia, the 1987 album by Sonic Youth, is a masterpiece of alternative rock. The album is a perfect blend of experimental and punk rock, and showcases the band's unique sound and style. The album features some of the band's most iconic tracks, including "Schizophrenia," "Tom Violence," and "White Cross."

The album opens with "Schizophrenia," a haunting track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The song features Kim Gordon's powerful vocals and the band's signature guitar noise. "Tom Violence" is another standout track, with its driving rhythm and catchy chorus.

The album also includes some experimental tracks, such as "The World Looks Red," which features distorted guitars and feedback. "Expressway to Yr Skull" is a 14-minute epic that builds to a chaotic climax, showcasing the band's improvisational skills.
