Interesting. The guitarist in the song IS Denny Freeman.
It is Stevie; " Vaughan recorded a single with them, "Other Days" as the A-side and "Texas Clover" as the B-side. Playing guitar on both tracks, the single was released on February 7, 1977." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevie_Ray_Vaughan
R.I.P Miles Alex Napier

Thanks to Alan Paul & Andy Aledort for their recent great SRV biography and to YouTube and you bluessmith for having this song posted. Cheers!
This is a really good song
Maytals "dirty rudeboy reggae" style
R.I.P. Paul. Of the recent musician's deaths, Paul's been the one that got me the most sad.
The Beauty of this is it show another dimesion that most Vaugh fans have never heard. Here in Virginia Beach I cover music like this all the time in between cuts like Little Wing or Flood.
I miss Soap Creek with all my heart!!!
This is not Stevie on lead,it's Denny Freeman , the other guitarist in the band. Saw them every Tuesday night in Austin in 76-77 at Soap Creek Saloon before Stevie left to do his own thing. They referred to this song as Texas Reggae. This single was released in 76. I won a copy at the release party at Soap Creek as a door prize. They had just been voted Band of the Year in the Austin Sun , the hip music paper at the time.
luv
Stevie was my 9th cousin got to meet several times in Austin when i was in college, miss him madly not only his music but his charisma, peace and love Stevie will meet u again one day ...keep heaven smooth
Almost sounds reggae in an awkward good kind of way.
I will always remember the day Stevie Ray died. My top 3 guitarists of all time are Jimi-EddieVan-Stevie. In that order. :)
Love it, just finished reading the SRV biog "Day After Day Night After Night" and it's great to find some recordings from his early years on here, Many Thanks! :)
