She became famous after WW2, when she became to be known as the "Nederlandse " (the Dutch Vera Lynn), due to the fact that she was singing the songs of the worldwide famous English singer. She's also known to be one of the two . For one of her recordings with the Telstar label, she received a Golden Record.
