Review by Luna Gray

Tempus Fugit, the collaborative album by jazz legends Miles Davis and JJ Johnson, is a true masterpiece of the genre. Released in 1955, the album features a collection of tracks that showcase the incredible musical talent and chemistry between the two musicians.

From the opening track, "Tempus Fugit," listeners are transported into a world of intricate melodies and harmonies, punctuated by Davis' signature trumpet sound and Johnson's smooth trombone playing. The album also includes several classic jazz standards, such as "It Never Entered My Mind" and "You're My Everything," which are given new life through the duo's inspired performances.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Budo," which features a fast-paced, energetic rhythm that is impossible not to move to. The interplay between Davis and Johnson is particularly impressive on this track, as they seamlessly trade solos and melodies throughout the song.
