About Lasse Tennander

Swedish musician, composer and lyricist, born on April 29, 1945 in Stockholm. He has a background as a high school teacher and was hired in the mid-1960s as a songwriter by . Tennander had his first song recorded in 1966 and during this time he wrote a lot for other artists, including and The Wayfarers. His debut album Lars Vegas from 1974 included the song Ska vi gå hem till dig which later became a hit in 's version. Tennander was active in the Swedish progg movement during the 1970s and he made his breakthrough as an artist in 1976 with his second LP, the more political "Alla är vi barn i början". Tennander released his first album on Ljudspår (Europafilm's gramophone department). The second album was released by SKP-owned publisher in October. When this publisher later went bankrupt, he switched to the commercial record company Sonet. During the 1980s, Tennander began writing songs without political content, which was especially noticeable with the beginning of the album Rötter.
