Review by Louis Amundaray

The album Minuit by Joséphine Baker is a captivating musical masterpiece that showcases the legendary singer's exceptional talent and versatility. Released in 1957, the album features a mix of jazz, blues, and chanson, infused with Baker's signature sultry vocals and dynamic stage presence.

The album's title track, "Minuit," is a hauntingly beautiful ballad that highlights Baker's emotional depth and range as a singer. The song is accompanied by a lush orchestral arrangement that perfectly complements Baker's vocals.

Other standout tracks on the album include "J'ai deux amours," a classic French chanson that Baker made her own, and "La Petite Tonkinoise," a lively tune with a catchy melody and a playful, upbeat vibe.
