About Jean Michel Jarre
Jean-Michel Jarre (August 24, 1948, Lyon, France) is a French composer of electronic music. Son of , a composer of film music, who has written the scores to such films as Lawrence Of Arabia and Dr. Zhivago, among many others. He is well-known for staging spectacular outdoor concerts of his music, which feature laser displays and fireworks, and three of which appeared in the Guinness Book of Records for their large audiences. One of his albums, Musique pour supermarchés had a print run on only a single copy, which was auctioned to raise money for French artists. In 1986 he worked with NASA; astronaut Ronald McNair was to play the saxophone part of Jarre's piece Rendez-Vous VI while in orbit on board the Space Shuttle Challenger. It was to have been the first piece of music recorded in space, for the album Rendez-Vous. After the Challenger disaster of January 28, 1986, the piece was recorded with a different saxophonist, retitled Ron's piece and the album dedicated to the seven Challenger astronauts. He is a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador.

Comments
A bizarre mix of musique concrete and psychdelic stuff like David Vorhaus' '"White Noise - An Electric Storm'. Still an amazing experiment.
Muy experimental, me gusta!!
Certainly a better sound quality than the other versions of these two songs already posted on YT by other users... very hard to believe they were recorded in 1969! (of course, they were recorded in 1969, but most major labels in France denied on releasing the song at the time because it was very experimental; Pathe Macroni EMI took the risk in '71 but it failed to sell many copies and unsold copies were destroyed making it extremely rare and hard to find today)
Wow that is one amazing musician who can do it all Jean-Michel Jarre is a wonderful artist
just learning about this guy when researching the history of electronic music and wow!!!!!!! doesn't even sound possible for how early it is
sounds like Amon Tobin or something - pretty amazing for 1969
Futurista y espacial a pesar del tiempo. Increible!
lush
Amazing...
merci pour nous faire decouvrir ca
is that the source of all techno-music???
WOW, I never thought Electronic music also existed in the beginning of the 1970's. :D
Jarre recorded both tracks while he was at the Musical Research Group in Paris in 1969. He also got a drummer from the group to play on the A-side track 'La Cage'. The quiet synth lead on the B-side track 'Erosmachine' sounds a bit like a very slowed down version of the start of 'Equinoxe 8 (Band in the rain)'
表現が手ぬるいかも。もっと、あおっていいと思う。
If only they knew in 1971... if only they knew...
:)
