About Jane McNealy

A child prodigy, Jane began playing piano at age four. Moving to Los Angeles in the Sixties, she met the writer . Alice and Jane started writing musicals together, and Jane studied orchestration and arranging with UCLA professor Albert Harris and film scoring with Earl Hagen. She became a staff writer for Mercury records, then Liberty records and Marzique Music Co. (owned by Jr. She had over 200 songs published and recorded, not counting special material & music from musicals, and has released albums of her own material as well.
