Review by Chris Curtin

The Herbie Harper Octet album is a must-listen for jazz enthusiasts who appreciate the smooth sounds of the trombone. Led by the talented Herb Harper, the album features an impressive lineup of musicians who deliver a dynamic and cohesive sound.

From the opening track, "Just Squeeze Me," Harper's trombone skills take center stage, weaving in and out of the melody with ease. The ensemble's tight arrangements and impressive solos keep the listener engaged throughout the album. The standout track, "A Night in Tunisia," showcases the band's ability to create a vibrant and energetic sound.

The album's production quality is top-notch, with each instrument clearly defined and mixed beautifully. The balance between the horns and rhythm section is perfect, creating a warm and inviting sound that draws the listener in.
