Comments
The Drifters couldn't have done this one any better. Great track! My only complaint - it's too short!
This is the better side. Nice song.
The one Gainors record I couldn't get when I collected. Nice to hear this again..thanks so much.
Great Philly sound.
It's not a Popcorn related song.sorry PJ
B-Side of "This Prefect Moment" 1961
Great Philly feel.
Garnet Mimms does a great lead on this
Nice song! Interesting that this single is not listed in Jerry Osborne's Record Guide. It lists two Tallt-Ho singles but not this one. Was it never released?
Osbourne somehow overlooked it. This was released on the DJ copy shown in this video and on a maroon stock copy.
You're right. 2 on Cameo, 3 on Mercury, 1 on Red Top, & 2 on Tally-Ho. Group members: Garnet Mimms, Sam Bell, Howard Tate, Willie /combo, & John Jefferson. If my memory is correct, The Enchanters were a girl group in later records.
Interesting. I was aware that The Gainors are a Philly group and the Talley-Ho label is from nearby Camden, NJ. Didn't know about the Garnet Mimms connection. These were the same Gainors that recorded on Cameo, correct?
Hi PJ, This is really Garnet Mimms singing before the group was changed to Garnet Mimms & Enchanters. I have 2 of their other releases on the same label.
Yah, nice lead voice on that one. Definite 60's sound with those background strings.

Thank you
