German composer and arranger, born 30 January 1914 in Elberfeld (today Wuppertal), Germany and died 3 July 1996 in Hamburg, Germany. Prolific composer of wind band music. Composer and conductor of West Germany's 1960 Eurovision Song Contest entry.
