Review by Tanya Macks

Country Cookin by Don Barnes and The Countrymen is a delightful album that captures the essence of classic country music. The album features 12 tracks, each of which is a testament to the band's musical talents and their love for the genre.

From the opening track, "Country Cookin," listeners are transported to a simpler time when life was all about family, friends, and good food. The song's upbeat tempo and catchy lyrics set the tone for the rest of the album, which is filled with toe-tapping tunes and heartfelt ballads.

The album's standout tracks include "Take Me Back to Texas," which showcases Barnes' impressive vocal range, and "Whiskey River," a classic country song that will have listeners singing along in no time.
