Soul Days is a classic album by the legendary American soul singer Dobie Gray, released in 1976. The album features ten tracks of soulful and heartfelt music that showcase Gray's vocal range and emotional depth.

The album opens with the upbeat and groovy "Find 'Em, Fool 'Em, and Forget 'Em," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. Gray's smooth vocals are backed by a tight band that includes horns, strings, and a funky rhythm section.

Other standout tracks on the album include the soulful ballad "Loving Arms," the funky "Out on the Floor," and the gospel-inspired "God Bless the Children." Gray's vocals are particularly impressive on these tracks, as he effortlessly transitions from tender crooning to powerful belting.

American singer and songwriter. Born: July 26, 1940 in Simonton, Texas. Died: December 6, 2011 in Nashville, Tennessee. Born into a family of sharecroppers in Simonton, Texas, and greatly influenced by his Grandfather, a Baptist Minister, Dobies life revolved around family, the church and music. Moving from Texas to California in the early 60s, Dobie met Sonny Bono, then A&R manager for Specialty Records. That encounter led to his first notable single, "Look At Me." (later recorded by The Righteous Brothers). Although "Look At Me" remained on the charts a healthy five weeks, Dobies real breakthrough came in 1965 with the release of "The 'In' Crowd." In Hollywood he enrolled in acting classes, and appeared in Theatre-group Productions, including "A Raisin In The Sun," "The Amen Corner," "Look Homeward Angel" and "Rhinoceros." His dramatic gifts eventually landed him a role in the L.A. production of the Mega Hit, Musical "Hair," in which he remained for two and a half years. "Drift Away," (1973) still heralded as his signature tune, was written by Mentor Williams.
