Lost And Safe is the third album released by The Books, an experimental music duo consisting of Nick Zammuto and Paul de Jong. The album was released in 2005, and it features a unique blend of electronic, folk, and classical music.
The album begins with the track "A Little Longing Goes Away," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. It's a slow and melodic track that features samples of a woman's voice singing over a soft piano melody. About The Books
Formed in New York City in 2000, when Zammuto and De Jong were neighbors in Inwood, a neighborhood in northern Manhattan. Their music combines elements of folk & acoustic and fuses it with electronic undertones. The two members do all of the group's production and mastering work on their home computers.
Disbanded in January 2012.

God. I love this album so much.
This album is just not as good as The Lemon of Pink. Very similar but missing the "it" factor for me.
Work made by brilliant minds that put a lot of love in their work. In other word; genius.
I don't understand the complains. I love the nostalgic sound combined by these samples. It's like I am floating in another Dimension and experiencing memories of a childhood i never had.

Man the books really were one of the greatest of all times. Their music just captures emotion and makes you feel so much.
Acid flashbacks
Just meaningless sampling. It's presented like it actually means something but it doesn't go with the music, and it doesn't have any message or meaning. It's just some half assed tracks with some arbitrary samples thrown on top.
