Blak Twang - Trixstar

Review by Jonathan Montero

Blak Twang's latest album, Trixstar, is a powerful and thought-provoking addition to the UK hip-hop scene. The album is a showcase of Blak Twang's skills as a rapper and lyricist, as well as his ability to craft beats that are both hard-hitting and soulful.

The album is anchored by Blak Twang's distinct voice and flow, which are both on full display throughout. His lyrics touch on a range of topics, from the struggles of everyday life to social and political issues, and his delivery is always on point.

The beats on Trixstar are equally impressive, with Blak Twang drawing from a range of influences to create a sound that is both modern and timeless. From the gritty, boom-bap inspired "Dettwork South East" to the smooth, jazz-inflected "So Rotton," the album is a masterclass in hip-hop production.

Exactly @ MrKDis London used to have a totally different vibe back then. Things seemed so much simpler and UK music like this was Takin' over. I honestly wonder what happened to good UK music sometimes... (The likes of N Dubzz n foolishness could never compete on the charts with these heavy weight tracks)
