Polynesian/Hawaiian jazz vibraphone and marimba player. Born: February 2, 1932, in US territory of Kauai, Hawaii. Died: February 24, 2002, Honolulu, Hawaii (age 70). One of the people credited with creating the musical genre Exotica, which is noted for Afro-Cuban rhythms, unusual instruments, jungle animal sounds, and romantic tone. 1990: Winner of a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Lifetime Achievement Award under the auspices of the Hawai'i Academy of Recording Arts.

THANK YOU for posting this tune!!! The quality and sound are excellent! When I bought the 45 rpm record "Love For Sale" way back in 1963, this particular piece was the "B"-side. I wound up playing "Love" much more than what I had originally purchased the record for! In retrospect, given today's lack of good music, I feel "Love" is a classic--- maybe even better than "Love For Sale". A timeless instrumental! Thanks again for posting this! :)
